Holy Joe! is an original 'take' on the traditional nativity story , promoting Joe to one of the stars of the show. It's perfect if you have a particularly good or endearing male actor/singer amongst your children. Well, he is the original 'new man', standing by Mary and helping her to fulfil her identity. The wise men also enjoy a great song (Three wise guys), and the angels sing a wonderful gospel-style 'Glory in heaven above'. There are ten songs in all, which include a beautiful lullaby (Sleep safe), some optional two-part singing, hand-jives, and a rousing finale-reprise.
Holy Joe! has plenty of narration and ten speaking parts, with many more acting and singing opportunities (such as groups of angels and shepherds). Full permission is given to extend the dialogue further to suit your requirements.
